Since 2005, Augustana College's Thomas Tredway Library has featured students, faculty and staff in a series of posters encouraging members of the campus community to read. This campaign is an effort to highlight the library on campus. It is a local variation on the American Library Association's READ campaign, which has featured celebrity readers on posters since 1985. Unlike the international campaign, where posters are sold to raise funds for library causes, Thomas Tredway Library publishes 3 copies of 3-6 subjects a year, with 2 used on campus and the third gifted to the poster subject.
