Each year, students enrolled in EDUC-412, Literacy in the Content Areas, learn the theories and best practices for empowering all students to read, write, and learn more effectively.
The publication is called a Tackle Box because, much like a fishing tackle box, this document has lures, hooks, and bait to help the teachers reel in their students as they work with text in the classroom. Since different schools of fish require different lures or bait, this tackle box of strategies provides a variety of useful gear for all teachers.
The future teachers in this class find this resource useful and valuable in their classrooms. Frequently, other classroom teachers have asked to borrow this resource, so we have decided to make it accessible to everyone.
